I love DC. It has been my home for almost 15 years. Yes, I said it. I want to believe it’s only been a couple of years, but I have spent almost the same amount of time in DC that I spent in my hometown in middle Georgia. That is crazy.
I love DC mostly because of the people, but I also think it is one of the most beautiful, fascinating and interesting cities in the world. I have run, biked, roller bladed, “ubered”, walked and even motorcaded the infamous “grid” of DC. I have met people from every corner of the earth and every corner of the city. It is a complex city, and topics of conversation about the city can never be exhausted. Most importantly to me, it has been the city I have learned who I am and what I love in life. I have had experiences that I will never forget and made friends that will be in my life forever.
Thank you, DC, for an amazing life. See you later….
Here are some shots of the US Capitol that I’ve taken over the past year.
Written so well, Lauren. And photos are beautiful. Love you, Mom
